Seminar's scope
Modeling the development and the functioning of plant at different scales (from gene network to the entire plant through cell and organ) has become a well-established approach in plant biology. The modeling activity is at the interface between plant biology, applied mathematics and computer science and is by essence multidisciplinary.
In order to favor exchanges between these scientific disciplines and help the emergence of a scientific community around plant modeling, a seminar devoted to plant modeling is organized each month.
The main themes of interest are:
- Mechanistic models of plant development and functioning,
- Models, techniques and algorithms used for digitizing, organizing and analyzing biological data.
The seminar takes place at the Agropolis amphitheatre, the first Friday of each month at 11h. A yearly one-day workshop devoted to a specific topic is also organized in March.
This series of seminars is supported by Agropolis fondation and Agropolis International.
